Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter/producer, Tom Morgan cites Townes Van Zandt, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle, and Robert Earl Keen as main influences to his writing. His debut EP West Coast Hearts was released in 2012 on Not Dead Yet Records. Fronting his band The Black Pine Fire, he did regular gigs in and around Los Angeles before the pandemic shut things down.

Working with longtime producing partner Curt Piar, Tom released his debut full-length Red Wine Diaries in 2018 on his own indie label, Poocham Road Records. During lockdown, Tom wrote 45 complete songs, with another dozen or so started. Most of these are being demoed for various CD releases that are planned over the next few years. Several singles, notably “Burn” and “Not To Blame”, got significant streams.

Armed with a sense of resolve, Tom began churning out new singles throughout 2020 and 2022, including “American Soil.”, “Stay”, “The Color Is Blue”, “Remember”, “Desert Kind”, and “September (I’m Searching for You)”. His most recent 2022 release, “The Other Side”, is the first of two planned releases in December, the other being “Touched by the Flame”.

All these releases will eventually be compiled into his follow-up full-length, Angel City Nights. His rights organization is ASCAP, which also handles his publisher, Chesterfield West.
