

Saxophonist Kevin Pike writes and records in a variety of styles. He has released over 15 concept albums ranging from free jazz to classical to indie rock. His latest recording, FUNK 204, is a modern take on seventies jazz/funk. The album features 8 original compositions with Pike on saxophone, flute, banjo and lap steel guitar. He is backed by an all-star cast of musicians from the Midwest.
As a composer, Kevin has explored many genres. Each of his albums focus on a different music style. These include free jazz (Fractured Intuition, 2005), contemporary third stream (The Sound of Things, 2015), world music (so se kwa, 2010), classical saxophone (Wachet Auf und Spielt das Saxofon, 2004), commercial theme show music (Podcast Music, 2006), Dance/Groove (Funky Junkie, 1998) and indie pop/rock (Rock n Roll Wasteland, 2002).
