In 2002, Erica Jennings and Joseph Baldassare first met while he was in the midst of creating his the first volume of his contemporary world compilation series Buddha Bar presents Living Theater vol. 1.He had composed a song entitled It’s A Lovely Day and was in search of the perfect voice for the song. Once he found Erica through a clandestine series of events he recorded her at ICP studios in Brussels and upon release, the song immediately became a cult classic and help make Erica the star she presently is in Europe. Erica, a Dublin native residing in Vilnius , Lithuania continued throughout the years establishing herself as the world class vocalist she is while participating in the subsequent Living Theater volumes 2 and 3. Fifteen years later they decided to collaborate once again after it was discovered that Universal Pictures in Turkey had requested the song It’s A Lovely Day for the film Bad Boy released in the summer of 2017 although this time on a jazz album Joseph had composed and long desired to bring to market.
As was before, they agreed to meet at ICP studios in Brussels where they had made their first recordings together and the rest is history.
