After making a name for himself with his collaborative projects with Gangsta Colony, Sly Rankin is stepping out on his own. He has had tracks featured on a plethora of MTV and BET reality shows and other TV programs, showcasing his talents for writing bombastic club and radio-ready jams. His ‘Sean Paul meets Drake’ style is very impressive.
Since immersing in his previous project Jamaica Hip Hop, a documentary looking into the Jamaican hip hop scene, he has now ventured on a new mixtape project, “Black Green Gold”. Earlier singles such as “Keep Coming”, “Dunce Anthem” and “Debo” were met with acclaims. His new single “All Star Flex” is his best one yet. “All Star Flex” is a fun and witty lyrical display which blends feel reggae/dancehall with a hip hop club vibe.
