Ant Ash is a rapper/CEO from South Bronx New York/Northside Columbus Ohio. Born into a musical family with his mother an R&B singer, father a drummer, sister’s who have travel the Country performing, Ash has possessed the skills and support needed to succeed in the entertainment industry since conception. Ant Ash has taken this background and his life experiences to blend his East Coast and Mid-West influences into his own unique style. Not only focused on the music but being an all-around entertainer.
Ant’s Dad “Marine turned drug dealer, turned retired blue collar worker, Mom former drug runner, turned saved Christian woman. Ant has been exposed to many glamorous to rock bottom and scary life experiences. Violence to poverty surrounded Ant growing up. Seeing his Dad, Mom and Stepmom work their way from the ghetto to success helped mold Ant’s work ethic and grind.
Known for making the hard decisions, one of Ant Ash’s hardest cross roads was his choice to give up College Basketball to pursue his music career as part of Edel Records (Paris, France). Edel signed Ant and rapper he never met to a deal and turned to a group called two tribes. Friction started when the group (Two Tribe) had a single that featured one verse from the added mc , one verse from Ant Ash and one verse split between the two artist, however, the label liked Ant Ash more on the track and begin to cut bars away from the other artist. With everyone excited, a dispute between his producers and the label lead to a huge fight amongst the label and production company that lead to the project being dropped.
Ant took time off of music to focus on building a better life for his 3 kids. After getting his young family set and settled, soon as he jumped back in, it lead him to a deal with Amada records. Amada offered great platform but budget from major label to fund the subsidiary was not coming through to fund the artist properly as expected. Ant greatful for the experience with Amada but decided with his knowledge and lessons learned, it was time to start his own company.
Ant Ash hard work and building entertaining content lead to a one on one meeting with Warner Music and Sony RCA Dec of 2017. The take away was that Ant and his team has all the talent and record deal worthy material and was given detail information on what it would take to build a lucrative deal between Ant’s team and major labels such as Warner and Sony. Ant know having a slue of industry connections, is on the verge of doing big things in the industry.
Ant Ash took this as a lesson; learning his passion for music could not be extinguished and how to navigate the complex entertainment industry. Now guiding artist on his label as well has not letting his talent and dream fade, Ant is on a mission to build a label free of the normal music industry lies, snakes and fakes but a brotherhood of business minded hard working individuals
