AJ420 is an unsigned 21 year old female rap artist who is just starting out from the Bay Area in Northern California, but she currently resides in Detroit, Michigan. She has been making music on and off for the past 2 years, but she recently started recording songs in her home studio on a regular basis for the past few months. Her first mixtape, an EP called “Rainy Days & Dreams,” was released on SoundCloud in early February, 2018. The project was deep and emotional, inspired by her struggles in the fall of 2017. She also continues to come out with singles regularly. AJ420 does not shy away from keeping it real, and explores a wide variety of material, from chill weed inspired slaps to romance to songs with political undertones. Her main influences are Mac Miller and Sage Francis. In five years AJ sees herself having a decent following of dedicated fans online, and possibly a record deal. As a disabled female rapper who part of the LGBT community, AJ420’s mission is to bring diversity to the music industry and create music that is true to herself that others can relate to. Her music is available for free streaming/download on SoundCloud and The Artist Union.
